# Export your data

You will be able to request a complete copy of your Koo data as a single ZIP file. The flow will be:

> The export-ready email will be delivered even if you have muted email [notifications](/docs/collaboration/notifications) — it's a data-rights notice, not marketing.

## What's in the export

The ZIP will contain pretty-printed JSON files plus a `manifest.json` recording the export ID, timestamps, and a schema version:

## Link expiry

The download link is signed and expires after a fixed period. Only one export is live per user at a time: requesting a new export replaces the previous one — the old link stops working and its file is deleted. If your link has expired, simply request a fresh export.

## Export vs deletion

Exporting takes nothing down. Your apps keep running, your account stays active, and nothing is deleted. If you want to remove your data from Koo, see [Delete your account](/docs/account/account-deletion) — requesting an export first is a good idea, since deletion is permanent after the grace period.
